Bio fuels and best practices

I thought it was really interesting to hear about how oils used at fast food restaurants can be used as an alternative fuel. I think that this is a really good idea because there is no shortage of fast food restaurants in America, and gas is very getting to be very expensive, and we are running out.

As for the Garden, the best practices for composting would be having everyone bring in fruit and veggie scraps to contribute to the compost pile. Turning the compost to get it mixed together well, and spreading it onto the garden beds.

  1. If someone needed to use or take some compost who do they need to see? Can people contribute to the compost pile?

  2. Thanks for your thoughts. I would really like a lot more detail on what will be required to have a functioning compost pile. What will the system be for bringing in waste from home...what sort of waste should be avoided...what sort of system are you going to use (wood bin, piles, worm compost)? Go much more into detail!

  3. I think you should go more in depth on how composting works and what nutrients are in the leftover scraps to contribute to the soil. How do you turn the compost around? What is the best thing to put your composting in? Is it a bin where you shake it around or is it something else?
